Installation: 1-4 days
How long your boiler installation will take depends on your current boiler and the type of boiler you’re replacing it with. If you’re simply replacing an old combi boiler with a new one, then your installer could complete this in under a day. But if you’re replacing a conventional or system boiler with a combi boiler this will take longer – probably around 2 days. And if you’re replacing a conventional or system boiler with one of the same type, it’s more likely to take 3 or 4 days.
These time frames can all vary quite a bit so it’s worth asking your boiler engineer to give you a rough indication of how long your individual boiler project is going to take.
Total time: Less than 2 weeks
So if you’re in a rush to get a new boiler, you might be able to get your boiler project finished in less than two weeks. It will probably take 3 or 4 weeks for you to get your building regulations certificate through, which proves that your installation meets building regulations requirements. But this shouldn’t stop you enjoying your new boiler in the meantime.
